“Révélation Soliste Instrumental” at the 2023 French Victoires de la Musique Classique and prizewinner at the 2017 Queen Elisabeth Competition, French cellist Aurélien Pascal is a force of nature in today’s music scene and no new discovery for the Hong Kong audience, having delivered absolutely enthralling performances with Hong Kong Sinfonietta on each visit since his début in 2015. He returns for another much-anticipated collaboration, this time presenting a double bill of Saint-Saëns’ two cello concertos, bookended by Mozart’s timeless “Haffner” and “Jupiter” symphonies under the authoritative baton of Music Director Christoph Poppen.
