Music aficionados will ride on a fantastic journey filled with musical notes through the skies and across the land, experiencing the springtime charm of March as depicted in ancient poetry, appreciating the harmonious elegance of flourishing bauhinia flower, and finally touching the unique yet. The Gala will fully demonstrate the vibrant energy of Hong Kong's young musicians, as well as the distinctive beauty that arises from the fusion of ancient and modern, Chinese and Western artistic works. Outstanding MO trainees and music group members will also be awarded.<br /><br />Highlights include choral works Across the Vast, Eternal Sky and Measure Me, Sky!; Vivaldi’s Concerto No. 10 in B minor for 4 Violins, Cello and Strings and Purcell’s Chacony in G minor; dynamic wind band works Sheltering Sky and Ride; gaohu concerto The Bauhinia and “March - Song of the Dancing Steps”, from Twelve Months Suite, respectively composed by two Chinese maestros Gu Guanren and Peng Xiuwen; and romantic orchestral masterpieces Capriccio Italien and España, concluding the Gala with a Southern European flair and reimaging the spirits of Tchaikovsky and Chabrier across spacetime. <br />"}]}
